Description – Handgames
Handgames are part of Blackfoot social gatherings. It is a guessing game played at powwows and at Handgame tournaments. The game consists of two teams - one is the hiding team and other the guessing team. The object of the game is for one team to obtain all the sticks. There is much hoopla in hiding the bones on the one team and guessing which hand the right bone is in from the opposing team. Each team sings handgame songs using handdrums. This activity will be hands-on whereby there will be two teams playing against each other.
